Privacy Policy

Fireback is operated by Shokirboy Salikhbaev, based in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. For anything in this policy, reach us through our contact form.

Your account. Your name, email address, and a password. We never store your password itself, only a scrypt hash of it, which cannot be reversed back into your password.

Your practice. Transcripts of rounds you complete, the scores and written feedback the AI produces, your streak, and any custom topics or characters you create.

Recordings you upload for video review. If you use video review, your recording is uploaded, transcribed, and analysed. The transcript and the resulting feedback are saved to your account. The video file itself is not kept after the review is produced.

Usage counts. How many rounds and how many minutes of video review you have used, so we can apply plan limits.

We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not sell your data to anyone. Ever.

OpenAIprocesses the text of your rounds and the audio of your recordings in order to generate replies, transcripts and scores. Requests are routed through Netlify’s AI Gateway.

Netlify hosts the site and stores account data.

Paddle handles payments and is the merchant of record for any subscription. If you subscribe, Paddle, not Fireback, receives your card details. We never see or store your card number.

Fireback is built for students aged 14 and over. If you are under 18, please read this policy with a parent or guardian before you sign up, and make sure they are comfortable with you uploading recordings of your voice and face.

If you are under 13, you may not use Fireback. In some countries, including parts of the European Economic Area, the minimum age for consenting to this kind of processing on your own is 16. Below that, a parent or guardian must agree on your behalf.

If you are a parent or guardian and you want your child’s account and recordings deleted, email us and we will do it without asking questions.

Your account data is kept until you delete your account. Video files are discarded once the review has been generated. Delete your account and everything associated with it is removed from our store.

You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can delete your account yourself from your profile page. Email us and we will help with anything the interface does not cover.

Passwords are hashed with scrypt and sessions are signed. Traffic is encrypted over HTTPS. That said, Fireback is a young product built by a small team, and no service can promise perfect security. Please do not put anything in a practice round that you would be seriously harmed by losing control of.

If this policy changes in a way that materially affects you, we will say so on the site rather than quietly editing this page.
